Hello,
I have just purchased a monitor Thinkvision to which I connect my HP Elite Book via USB-C cable. Monitor has integrated speakers. These do not work. While trying to trouble shoot the issue a text appears - the connector for this device is located in the hdmi connector.
I cannot believe, notebook can connect to 4K monitor, can be charged and can use multiple USB hubs via one USB-C cable, but cannot transfer the sound.
Is there a way to fix it?
Thank you

hp support assistance isn't a driver it's a software to check any driver issue or hardware issues.
Did u check the bios settings (change the bios settings to default settings).
Check the C port cable.
When you connect the C port don't use usb a port. Remove the connected devices from usb a port.
Go to bios F2 and run the diagnostic each and every one.
Connect your c port device with other c port device.
