Change step 5 to click on "Communication Headphones".  Otherwise, this is how I fixed mine. I have an HP running 64 bit Windows 7 Enterprise

POSSIBLE SOLUTION (At least it worked for me):

Search for RealTek HD Audio Manager from your Start menu in Windows 10.

At the top right, click on Device Advanced Settings

Under Playback Devices, click on "Make Internal and external output devices playback two different streams simulatneously".

This added  "Headphones" to my Sound Devices (from the control panel).

Good luck!

i am trying to get my skullcandy uproar headset to work on windows 10 hp pavillion,, when i get to program files>sound>speakeers, there is not an option for headset anywhere..i used the small plug in underneath and even tried pressing on the little white soft plug next to it..actually any headset working would be great..

It is not windows 10 that is the problem because my sister runs windows 10 and it lets her use her headphones perfectly, but i think its because she has a DELL laptop and i use HP and with my laptop when i plug in headphones it plays through the speakers and headphones i tried 3 different types of headphones the only that work are usb headphones and the computer doesnt even recognize there are headphones plugged in even thogh it plays through the headphones except for the usb headphones. hope this helps.
