Hallo,

I was given an old Laptop from my office after they upgraded but it didn't have a hard drive in it.  So I tried to install a new Hard drive but I can't get into the BIOS setup to change boot order. I've tried all of the methods mentioned, i don't get a recovery code after 3 false entries so it is definitely a business laptop. Unfortunately our IT department does not have a BIOS password for it, is it possible to get one here please?

I can provide the detail specs if required (via DM?).

According to the Community's Rules of Participation:

 

4d. No posts shall include instructions/directions intended to bypass or subvert security mechanisms such as lock screens, BitLockers, BIOS lock, passwords, fingerprint/biometry scanners, PINs nor any other safety measures.

 

Therefore, this topic is being locked. If you would like help resetting the password on your product, please Contact HP support in your region.

 

For cases related to BitLocker issues, please contact Microsoft Support.
