CLICKED THE UPDATE AND RESTART OPTION , AND UPON RESTART, THE LAPTOP IS STUCK AT THE STARTUP GIVING ME A MESSAGE" PLEASE WAIT WHILE WE INSTALL A SYSTEM UPDATE" - FROM HP.  

THEN IT GOES INTO THE HP BOIS UPDATE PAGE AND GIVES ME THE MESSAGE

SYSTEM BIOS UPDATE FAILED.  UNABLE TO OPEN BIOS IMAGE FILE.

THE SCREEN THEN GOES BACK TO THE HP MESSAGE SCREEN " PLEASE WAIT WHILE WE INSTALL A SYSTEM UPDATE"

THE LAPTOP IS NOT GOING PAST THIS SCREEN.

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps from the document:-

 

I understand that you're unable to update the BIOS HP Pavilion 15-cs106 and it needs to download one by one and needs to restart the computer to make sure the Adapter or Charger needs to be connected,
