I have recently put Windows 7(64-bit) on my HP Pavilion G6 laptop for a school project, and it was running well for the days following the installation. Then I went into the BIOS, didn't change any settings, and now it is stuck in some sort of loop. The screen will show the "press esc" at the bottom left corner of the screen and then go black. I let it try to boot up for over ten hours (over night) and when I came back to it, it was still going through this loop. I can still get into BIOS, so I reset all the settings to their default position just in case I had changed a setting, but that did not work. I also tried a hard reset wich also did not work. I also tested the hard drive wich passed its test and checked the error log. It says over several lines that I have an 0601 error. This is the only error that I have found. I am open to any suggestions that this community may provide.

@Jack2231 -- I also tested the hard drive that passed its test
That test only verifies that you can read/write to the disk-drive.
It does not verify the integrity of the file-system on the disk-drive.
Can you physically remove the disk-drive, and connect it as a "secondary" disk-drive in some desktop computer, and then see if you can read your personal files from it?

@Jack2231 -- I do not have a desktop system to try this on.
Do you have any family or friends who do?
If you have any other computer, purchase an adapter -- about $20.
One end of the adapter is a USB connector, and the other end connects to the data/power connectors on the disk-drive. Connect the disk-drive to the adapter, and the adapter to the other computer, and Windows will recognize your disk-drive. Then, try to read your files from the disk-drive.
