Model - HP Notebook Envy 15
OS - Windows 10 2004
Sorage - 256 GB SSD
It all started with the problem where I was not able to get updates for Windows 10 and some other .NET framework issues. I tried different solutions at that time but they did not help. So, I decided to reinstall the windows (a bad decision). Previous problems got solved, but now I was facing issues of BSOD. Being not able to solve those BSODs, I reinstalled windows again(😪), and ended up with following issues.
1. When I start/restart my laptop, it shows Boot Device Not Found and Hard Disk (3F0). This happens couple of times and after repeated power offs and ons, I am able to start my laptop successfully.
2. After my laptop is started, I am able to work flawlessly, except in one scenario - When I open laptop's lid and when laoptop wakes up from Sleep mode, the screen freezes and BSOD appears, laptop gets restarted and I end up having issue #1 again.
Don't know whether it is a hardware issue or not, but a friend of mine suggested to update the BIOS. Till now, I relied on HP Support Assistant to get updates for BIOS and drivers, but today I got to know that it is not doing so, it always tells me that all things are uptodate. My current BIOS version is Insyde F.56 (12-06-2018), and on https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers, the latest version is F.61 Rev.A. I downloaded from this site and installed the update. No issues reported, but after restarting the pc, when I checked the BIOS version, it was not updated. Tried installing it again, but did not help.
After that, I tried to install it using USB drive (See Update the BIOS manually from a USB Flash drive (outside of Windows) - https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00007682), but I did not get the screens for HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI as they are saying.
Please help me with solving the bootup issue, and tell me other possible solution or solution to BIOS update issue.
Thank you.

Hi @Arthanshu
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
Let's try updating the computer.
Is there any update pending?
Meanwhile, I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also, ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@Arthanshu please follow the below steps to identify and resolve this concern:
Step 1: Perform a hard reset
HP Notebook PCs - Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset
Step 2: Restore BIOS default setting
Step 3: Test the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI
Step 4: Reseat the hard drive (here's a video that shows how to re-seat the drive: Click here)
Step 5: If the tests pass, Perform an HP System Recovery
(If none of the above actions resolved the error condition, back up your personal data) and then perform an HP System Recovery on the notebook:
If the issue persists, it's most likely a hardware connection failure and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
