HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D120AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a brand new HP laptop - 8Gb RAM and the only two programs running on it are iTunes and Norton anti-virus.

That's it. I bought the laptop just to play music on it through my stereo.

It all works fine except that around 30 minutes after it starts it just simply stopped playing the music. iTunes appears to be running (well, the pause button is shown to indicate that is playing) but the songs are not progressing. So iTunes has frozen. I am running the latest version of iTunes. I usually have to restart the laptop to get iTunes to play again, not just kill iTunes off and restart it... i have to restart the laptop as well. I welcome any input into this major frustration... its just meant to play music. Simple!

@Biggles006

Sorry, but iTunes is Apple software and we have no way to debug or correct issues with Apple software.

My guess is that there is a conflict with Norton -- but that is only a guess.

You will have to contact Apple support for assistance with iTunes issues.

Hi WAWood,

thanks for your response. I don't think t is the apple software - it seems the sound card freezes... I'll try running a YouTube video for awhile and see if it does the same thing.
