Hello.
I know there is another thread in which this same question was asked, but it wasn't answered. I am following all the instructions and going to the appropriate links to create a BIOS recovery flash drive for my notebook, whose product number is B7M23AV . I am downloading the BIOS update from here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-g7-2100-notebook-pc-series/5262610/mode...
Now, when I follow the instructions, all I get is this screen and no option to create the recovery flash drive.
Why does this happen? How can I create the recovery flash drive? I need to open my notebook and clean it and need to be prepared in case I have a BIOS failure because it has happened in the future (and went away by itself, mysteriously).
Please note that what I need to know is why this is happening and how can I fix it. Buying a new laptop, a BIOS programmer, or anything else is not an option for me at the moment.

Hi
You don't mention what BIOS you have and what BIOS you want.
EG:
This 2016 version...
HP Notebook System BIOS Update (AMD Processors)
F.2A Rev.A 7.7 MB Sep 19, 2016 Download
OR this 2012 version...
HP Notebook System BIOS Update (AMD Processors)
F.03 5.0 MB Apr 27, 2012 Download
Why are the dates out of sequence? Dunno.
Or weirdly this 2013 version.
F.26 Rev. 7.8 MB Mar 1, 2013 Download
