Turned on laptop....said it was dying....reached for plug in and laptop shut off. I have done the reset where I took battery out and held down power. Connected battery back and AC powercord and still get nothing on screen and blinking from caps lock.

Thank you for joining the HP Community

Perform the Power reset using this link: https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c01684768

Then, let's try all the steps from this link: HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start (Windows 10)

Alternatively, you can also go through this support document: If the LEDs blink, or the computer beeps, but it does not start, go to HP Notebook PCs - Troubleshooting LED Blink Codes or Beep Codes During Startup or Boot.

Keep me posted, how it goes!

I did it all and nothing worked. This is my second HP laptop and both times they randomly have stopped working. I understand it's electronics but probably moving onto another brand.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
