HP ZBook 15 G2 Base Model Mobile Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP Zbook 15 G2. A few days ago I updated my bios to latest version available and I saw Fast Boot ticked and Greyed out. I can't seem to disable it now. I have been trying to install Hackintosh but Fast Boot won't let me do so.

It Says Enabling DriveLock or Adding users in Bios/HP Client security will disable fastboot. I tried Enabling DriveLock but it didn't work at all. I can't seem to install HP Client Security Manager because of 1722 error while installation. No fix worked for me for 1722 error.

Please give me any solution to that.

Is there a way you can downgrade the BIOS by installing the previous BIOS that was originally there before you did the update? That could be a way out since the original BIOS could easily turn off the fast boot.

Hi, @AnimeLabs with fast boot being enabled, does it stop you from using your laptop properly from what I see, Fast Boot is a feature in BIOS that reduces your computer boot time. I think that is something we would want to have on our PC unless fast boot is making the laptop do something that is affecting your daily tasks.

TBH I really don't care about fast boot. I just want to disable it because I want to start using Linux and Hackintosh along with WIndows. Fast Boot has been a pain my a**. Although it shouldn't have been permanently enabled by HP. Thousands of people don't really want it.

If there is any solution to disable then please help me.
