I just opened my private computer after using my Work laptop for several years, and no password is correct. I cant find any place to change password, and it seems like the computer’s not attached to a Microsoft account. I have tried ctrl + alt + delete, nothing is happening. This is my type of computer:

If you have forgotten the password for your HP Notebook and it does not seem to be attached to a Microsoft account, you can follow these steps to reset your password:
Restart Your Computer in Safe Mode:
- Turn off your computer completely.
- Turn it back on and repeatedly press the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
- Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode with Command Prompt and press Enter.
Access the Command Prompt:
- Once the computer boots into Safe Mode, you'll see the Command Prompt window.
- Type net user [username] * and press Enter. Replace [username] with the name of your account.
Reset the Password:
- You will be prompted to enter a new password. Type your new password and press Enter.
- Re-enter the new password for confirmation and press Enter again.
Restart Your Computer:
- Restart your computer normally.
Use HP Recovery Options
If the above steps do not work, you may want to consider using HP's recovery options to reset your device:
Access HP Recovery Manager:
- Turn off your computer.
- Turn it back on and press the F11 key repeatedly until the HP Recovery Manager screen appears.
Follow On-Screen Instructions:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the password or restore the system to its default settings.
