None of the 3 USB ports on my HP 2000-2D19WM allow access to any connected device. It's as if the device was never connected to the port. This includes external keyboard, mouse, usb flash drive. There is power to the ports. When I plug in an external laptop cooling platform the fans turn on.
When running diagnostics:
The Component Tests
USB Port
receives the following error when testing with keyboard, mouse and USB flash drive:
USB Port Check: Failed
Failure ID: U09G1K-6TD8B9-MFGJWK-8D1U03
Product ID: E0M17UA#ABA
Component Test: Failed
Anyone know how to find documantation on the Failure ID?
Is there a solution to repair this problem so a usb device can be detected?
Any other suggestions would be welcome.
TIA

Thanks for the link. The link recommendations did not make any change in the symptoms. When a device is connected to the USB port, it is still completely ignored.
When in HP diagnostics (prior to windows loading), and running Component Tests and then USB Port tests I receive:
USB Port Check: Failed
Failure ID: U09G1K-6TD8B9-MFGJWK-8D1U03
Can you shed any light on the meaning of the Failure ID?
And does it indicate what type of repair (hardware/software) is required?
Thanks for you help.
