One of our pupils set an admin password for the Notebook Bios. So the school Notebook became quite unusable.
Any hints on what to do - the so-called "service" and "customer support" wants to change the mainboard and make cash not asking for the environment. So it is impossible to get a restore file for the USB Stick - as it was possible for a long time.
Thank you in advance

It is a pity that HP does not pay attention to the environment. It's not a sustainable solution to set up a simple service that generates little effort to force new notebooks or expensive repairs with spare parts. HP is not a modern or progressive company with this trade, but is stuck in an old ruthless system.

I'm really sorry that we can not help you with this, but Community policy prohibits us from assisting you in any way with bypassing or resetting passwords.
For BIOS or power-on password resets, read this HP thread: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824.
If you are not prepared to spend the money to get HP to replace the motherboard for BIOS password resets, you could take the PC to a local repair facility to see if they can do it for you -- but we are unable to assist in that.
For Admin password resets, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly for assistance.
