I recently successfully updated my laptop to bios version F.17, and now I have 2 "Unknown Devices" here we go HP... 😕
1: ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0004
ACPI\HPIC0004
*HPIC0004
2: ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0003
ACPI\HPIC0003
*HPIC0003
I've tried installing all new/old driver's found in the website for my model without success... So to fully fix this issue I'm trying to roll back to bios F.15 since bios F.17 WAS THE CULPRIT!... AND IM UNABLE TO... ??
I've tried:
1: Downloaded the F.15 bios and selected "Create Recovery USB flash drive" Pressed the "B" with the "Windows Key" and pressed the power button for a few seconds.... DOES NOT WORK I receive a message saying "BIOS Recovery Files Not Found"... Great
2 : With the files still in the flash drive I reboot the PC and press "F2" I go to "Firmware Management" and select "BIOS Roll back" I search for the bios within the flash drive named HP_Tools and I get an error: "The System BIOS rollback failed. ... Unable to open BIOS Signature file." And YES the .sig file IS within the same directory as the bios file...
3: I copy JUST the bios and signature file into a different flash drive and try the same steps listed above... Ugggg nothing works
C'MON HP if you release an updated bios.. make sure it's fully compatible without issues...
Any help please, will be highly appreciated!

Perfect, I am really glad to hear that!
The flashing of the bios for this computer has gone through correctly and updated the latest version of the bios. So the computer seems to detect only the latest version of the bios and may not be allowing you to downgrade the bios as the latest version is already installed.
NOTE: Some bios updates do not allow to downgrade to previous versions. This could be specific to some computer model only.
If any other questions arise, please feel free to write back to me.
Good day! Take care 🙂
Cheers!

@The_Fossettee
Thanks for the reply, unfortunately those files aren't the fix, those files have nothing to do with those 2 unknown devices...
After a bit of research I found that those unknown devices are the following:
"HP Application Driver" (ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0003)
AND
"HP OMEN Driver" (ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0004)
And the ONLY place to get those driver's are though Microsoft's Update Catalog, found here:
https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=ACPI%5CHPIC0003
AND
https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=ACPI%5CHPIC0004
Normal users shouldn't have this problem, Windows I'll install those unknown devices through an update, I had this issue because I had Windows Update turned off...
----------------------------------------------
LASTLY,
Now.. WHY can't I downgrade to Bios version F.15 on my notebook? I've done many bios flashes before on previous laptops/desktops but this is getting me soo frustrated, I don't understand WHY I'm getting "bios files not found" or "signature file not found" errors when I'm doing everything correctly.... Again bios F.17 CAUSED those unknown devices, therefore I want to downgrade back to F.15.

As @The_Fossette posted, some BIOS upgrades prohibit downgrades. This is normally done when a particular BIOS includes a security fix - as was the case for the F.17 BIOS for your system according to the release notes.
I don't have access to that particular system, but wonder if the drivers in question were bundled with some download on the driver page, perhaps the OMEN Command Center SDK Package.
