Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my HP Pavilion 14 D028BR laptop. When I turn it on, the screen remains black, and the Caps Lock key blinks twice before stopping. From what I’ve read, this usually indicates a BIOS or hardware-related problem.
I’ve been trying to locate the official BIOS recovery files for my specific model to attempt a repair. However, when I enter my laptop’s serial number on the official HP website, it points to a different product, and I haven’t been able to find any information or files related to the HP Pavilion 14 D028BR.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue with this model or know where I can find the correct BIOS recovery files?
Additionally, if you have any suggestions for troubleshooting this problem, I’d greatly appreciate your advice.
Thank you in advance for your help!

This is all I can find and it is a 3rd party site so be careful what you download
The 2 blinks do not seem right
Beep codes and reset instructions
HP support video for bios recovery
Click here to see how to recover your BIOS.
Do 1, 2, and the first part of 3.
For the second part of 3 you will need a USB flash drive and possibly an
older BIOS if the recent BIOS caused the problem. Make sure the USB flash had LED lights.
For laptops, step 2 'CMOS reset' there is no CMOS battery nor CMOS switch and no need to open the laptop. Use the Windows key + 'v' as explained here.
To install from USB.
When you power up your system the LEDs on the flash drive should flash once at the instant power is applied. They will then flash about three to five seconds later (hopefully). When they flash a second time that means the files are being read from the flash drive. If you never see it flash a second time then the boot loader is damaged and you cannot recover the bios unless you use a programming tool or replace the chip. You hold down the Windows key + B key when powering up with the USB flash inserted.
Let me know what you find out.
