Yes. I finally figured out it is the cord and port that have to held at exact angle to charge. In fact, will only charge when shut down, not while in use. TERRIBLE! I just switched from the surface bc I thought HP had their crap together. What the hell?!?

Was this motherboard issue ever resolved? I was just told that I'd need to pay $800 to replace mine despite the laptop being barely a year old. That is not normal wear and tear. Has HP just thrown up its hands and said "not our fault" on this thing that's clearly well documented?

This has been an issue with Spectre 360 for sometimes. Do not take it to the any repair shop ,Because this unit has  a

limited space and is compact,So only expert can work on it .Try to call H.P.and negotiate the price,May be you get some

discount. I tried different place,But they do not have the experience to fix it.  Good Luck

Same problem here. Can someone please email me to figure out a solution asap? The laptop was working fine. I saw a prompt for low battery, plugged into the wall but nothing happened, and then it just eventually ran out of battery. Bought this only 4-5 months ago.

If its only 4-5 months its still under warranty.  Send it back.  HP needs to replace the motherboard

Having the same issue.   The computer was on but low on battery.  Plugged it in, and heard a bit of a pop and the screen went blank and everything went off.   Won't turn on, doesn't look like it's taking a charge, LEDs don't show anything, etc.
