Hello RubenVel66,

The LED lights near the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys will blink if an error is detected during the startup process. The LEDs will blink a number of times in a sequence and then stop. It sounds like the number of blinks in the sequence you are experiencing is 5 blinks. This means a general board failure.  You may need to visit a hp support center closest to you.

Best wishes.

What if the nearest supporg center is more than 100 mi away like in my case?

So I called HP and the person didn't really tell me what was wrong with the computer besides that my BIOS wasn't up to date. He made me do a restart of my BIOS and downloaded the necessary updates for my computer. Unfortunately, the 5 long blinks and 3 short blinks happened again and I just went through the same process of reseting my BIOS. I'm thinking it has something to do with the motherboard and that it's probably on its way out. I'll most likely ask my Computer teacher since traveling to the nearest HP location is miles away.
