It’s great to hear that replacing the power supply improved things! Since your HP Victus now runs for a longer period before encountering a BSOD, the faulty adapter was likely causing power instability. However, since the issue persists, here are some additional steps to refine the fix:

1. Check Power Settings

  • Open Control Panel > Power Options.
  • Select Balanced or HP Recommended.
  • Disable Fast Startup under Choose what the power buttons do.

2. Update BIOS & Drivers

  • Ensure your BIOS is up to date from HP’s official site.
  • Update GPU drivers, especially if crashes occur during graphics-heavy tasks.
  • If using NVIDIA, download the latest drivers from GeForce Experience.

3. Run Memory & Storage Diagnostics

  • Use MemTest86 to check for RAM issues.
  • Run CHKDSK and SFC /scannow in Command Prompt to scan for disk errors.

4. Test with a Different Adapter

  • If possible, try another compatible HP adapter to rule out lingering power issues.

Since you’ve already seen improvement, these steps should help stabilize your system further.
