Hello, I have a HP notebook, model 14-fq1025nr.
Yesterday I turned on my notebook and an error message popped up. I didn’t read it or think anything of it.

I turned it off and back on, and was able to sign in. However, after about 5 minutes, the screen began to fade into black and green squares. I turned off the notebook again and turned it back on. I signed in again, but after a few minutes the screen went to blue pixels. I turned the PC off again, but when I turned it back on the screen was black and there was not boot up sound. Every time I turn on the notebook I can hear the fan running, and I can see the light indicating that the notebook is still on. However, the screen remained black and does not boot up.

Today, I turned on the Notebook and it booted up, I was able to sign in, but after about 2 minutes a blue error screen popped up with the message “your device ran into some problems. Restarting your computer”. The the screen went black before the 60 second timer was up.

I turned it off and waited a few hours. I was able to boot the computer into safe mode. However, once in safe mode I was hit with the same blue error screen. And then the screen went black again.

My notebook seems to only boot up after hours of being off, but when it does boot up, the display and sound go out after only a few minutes.

The BIOS was updated about three days ago, but I don’t know if this is part of the problem

The only thing I have tried so far is a hard reset, which didn’t work.
