Hey guys, I got this HP Laptop 15-db0xxx about 2 years ago, and decided it's time to upgraded its RAM from 4 gb to 8 gb. Due to me not being a pro in this, I have no idea what type of Ram stick or anything I need to upgrade. I do know how to switch out the Ram stick from my laptop, and know that it is a DDR4, but when I look for one online, I get nothing useful. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks in advance, Alex.

Hi, Alex:
What is the product number of your notebook?
Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number.

You're very welcome.
The product number you posted indicates your notebook is a 15-db0011dx. Specs at the link below.

Since your notebook has the A6 processor, it has one memory slot, and the max the slot can take is an 8 GB memory chip.
So, in order to upgrade the memory to 8 GB, you will need to remove the 4 GB chip and replace it with an 8 GB chip.
Below is the link to the service manual.

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your model notebook...
