As far as I know -- no -- there is no "updated" version of the HP DV6 motherboard that uses UEFI instead of Legacy BIOS. I have an old DV6 and have looked around for this for some time -- and have not been able to find anything.

Hi, @Pete1471
I've installed W11 on HP notebooks older than yours that have no UEFI BIOS, don't support secure boot, don't have a supported W11 processor and don't have a TPM 2.0 security device.
If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2/22H3
You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.
The only difference in the instructions I posted is you need to set up the Rufus' partition scheme menu from GPT to MBR since your notebook does not have a UEFI BIOS.

I'ved used the RUFUS utility that Paul mention several times myself -- and can confirm that it allows you to install Win11 on "incompatible" devices -- as it bypasses the MS-imposed hardware requirements.
If you're going to go that route, allow me to suggest that you look into Tiny11 -- a scaled-back version of Windows 11 that also bypassed the MS hardware requirements. I switched an old laptop of my own over to this and it is working great -- even accepts and implements Windows updates without issue.
You can read about Tiny11 here:
