Hp 15 Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking into why the laptop won't stay powered on. Turns on for about 3-5 seconds and shuts off.  I have taken it apart due to a liquid spill. Cables are all connected except a white wire with a #1 on it. is there a clip that might have come off to reattach to WLAN module?

Liquid spill is an extremely damaging thing to do -- so much so that laptops generally do not survive that.

You will not be able to spot all the damage by looking at it, as if the laptop was turned on during the spill, it could have shorted stuff out or seeped into areas that you can not see.

The ONLY way to know for sure is to take or send it to an HP Service Center and pay a LOT of money for them to run full diagnostics on it, and after that, to disassemble it to repair or replace any damaged components.

And, if the motherboard is damaged, the cost of repair can easily exceed the cost of replacing the laptop -- because (as far as I know) liquid spill damage is NOT covered under the warranty.

Since you live in the U.S., here is a link to the HP Service Repair Centers:

If that link does not give you the information you need, here is the general support link:
