Help! My HP G60 laptop can start but screen remains dim.  I followed the troubleshooting video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xONrIMx6MTw but couldn't access to the BIOs screen.  What can I do next? The BIOs driver has been updated to what it is available on HP support site.

Also, I tried to update the Driver-Graphics on HP Support site.  It showed me that the version of driver on my laptop is "newer" than the one is available on HP's site.  Anything I shall do about it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

In that case, reseat hard drive and RAM module, check again.

Try different AC adapter charger in another AC power outlet after removing the battery.

Hi,

So you're not able to get into BIOS setup because it is dim when you enter BIOS setup?

Hi Visuth, the laptop screen works while connecting to an external monitor.  When following HP's video to the step 3 for checking BIOs, it didn't briing up anything.

Then it is a display panel issue.

You could try disconnecting and reconnecting the display connector and see if issue improves

Otherwise replacement of panel is warranted.

Where can I find the display connector?  I played the video for "Display Panel" from the link you sent but don't know which part will need to disconnect and reconnect.  Thanks.

See the manual: http://web.archive.org/web/20100402015646/http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01602064.pdf

Do it only if you're good at disassembly. Otherwise get help from certified technician

My piece is no longer under warranty and it seemed pretty complex to take the display apart.  Do you recommend anyone in Chandler, AZ area?  Thanks.

Unfortunately I've no knowledge about that.
