Hy all,
i've got a used HP Elitebook 850 G5 in great condition from a known seller. The G5 is still under warrnty (till April 2021).
Unhappily the seller forgot to reset the BIOS password and can't remember the password. So he offered me a giveMeBackandI'llsendyouthemoneyback.
However I started to love the elitebook and am trying to find another solution. A short research brought up, that HP will maybe no longer (due to new policies!?!) help in case of lost BIOS passwords, and the Motherboard need to be changed. A very expensive solution and not really a "solution".
So I hope to get a real solution here... before giving back this wonderful elitebook...
Kind regards Chris, switzerland

Hello,
Unfortunately, the HP support community does not allow us to help you with your BIOS password. The only solution is to contact HP and, if necessary, contact them several times to complete your case.

I recommend that you get on Contact HP from your country or region.
The only solution HP will propose is to replace the system board to solve the BIOS password problem requested at computer startup.
