Hi @alokmonu8,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP laptop is encountering an issue with the boot configuration data, which could be preventing it from starting up properly. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue.
Use Windows Installation Media: If you have a Windows installation USB or DVD, you can use it to access the recovery options.
- a. Insert the installation media and restart your laptop.
- b. Boot from the installation media. You might need to change the boot order in the BIOS/UEFI settings to prioritize the CD/DVD drive or USB drive.
- c. Once the Windows setup screen appears, choose "Repair your computer."
Run Automatic Repair:
- a. In the Windows Recovery Environment, select "Troubleshoot."
- b. Choose "Advanced options" and then "Startup Repair."
- c. Follow the on-screen instructions and let Windows attempt to fix the startup issues.
Command Prompt:
- a. In the Advanced options, choose "Command Prompt."
- b. Once the Command Prompt opens, you can use the following commands to repair the boot configuration:
chkdsk /f /r C:
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
- c. Restart your laptop and see if the issue is resolved.
Check Hard Drive Health: Boot from a live CD or USB (such as a Linux distribution or a dedicated tool like Hiren's BootCD) to check the health of your hard drive. If there are issues, you might need to replace the hard drive.
Restore from System Image: If you have a recent system image backup, you can restore your system to a previous working state.
Remember to back up important data before attempting any repairs to avoid potential data loss.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
