Hi,

Microsoft did post new update for Windows 10 version 1803 - KB4100403 :

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4100403/windows-10-update-kb4100403

Symptom:

When attempting to upgrade to the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, select devices with Intel SSD 600p Series or Intel SSD Pro 6000p Series may repeatedly enter a UEFI screen after restart or stop working.

Workaround:

This issue is resolved in KB4100403.

To get the standalone package for this update, go to the Microsoft Update Catalog website.

Thanks @Dimitry_K I hadn't seen this. I think I will still wait a little while before upgrading to 1803 again. Starts May 25-nope I won't be ready.:smileyvery-happy:

Windows 10 version 1803 with installed early KB4103721 update.

@Dimitry_K

thanks for posting good results so far with installing the patch for Intel SSD crashes. Do keep us updated on further results. Hopefully @MiroslavaA @PCH2 and @VladPopa have same results if they choose to install it now -or wait for WU to offer it.

Just had my first UEFI screen.  😞

The patch sounds promising @Dimitry_K.

I think I will give that a go right now... can't be any worse can it?!

Thanks

Ha!  I was just about to complain that the patch was already installed and that couldn't possibly be the fix ... then I went into WU to see what was going on.  Looks like it's been released now!

Fingers X

Thanks @MiroslavaA @Dimitry_K for reporting good results. I  have renabled WU on my loaner/test Spectre and waiting for the Update to again attempt install. Hoping none of the crashes I experienced in first install.
