Product: HP 255 G8 Notebook PC (1W9Z6AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My daughter work laptop has a password (administrator password or power-on password). She pass away and now we cannot get into the laptop. I took it to several shops but no one can help. Is there a way to reset the laptop

According to the Community's Rules of Participation:

 

4d. No posts shall include instructions/directions intended to bypass or subvert security mechanisms such as lock screens, BitLockers, BIOS lock, passwords, fingerprint/biometry scanners, PINs nor any other safety measures.

 

Therefore, this topic is being locked. If you would like help resetting the password for your product, please contact HP support in your region.

 

For cases related to BitLocker issues, please contact Microsoft Support.
