Dear HP Support Team,
My name is Himanshu Raj. SERIAL NUMBER:-
>Do not include the product serial number or any private information<.
PRODUCT:- ProBook 450G2
I have been using my HP laptop for around 10 years. Unfortunately, I can no longer remember the BIOS password. I need to access the BIOS settings to enable virtualization because I want to install and use Kali Linux on my laptop for educational purposes.
I visited an HP Support Center, but I was advised to travel to Delhi for further assistance. As a college student, I currently do not have the financial means to make such a trip. Additionally, my examinations are approaching, and missing classes could negatively affect my academic performance.
I would also like to mention that I no longer have the original purchase invoice for this laptop. Since the laptop is approximately 10 years old, the invoice has been lost over time. Therefore, I may not be able to provide proof of ownership through the original purchase receipt.
I fully understand HP's security policies and ownership verification requirements. However, I would be very grateful if you could provide any alternative method of verification, remote assistance, or guidance that would allow me to reset or recover access to my BIOS without having to travel to a distant service center.
I am willing to provide any information available on the laptop, including serial number, product number, photographs of the device, or any other details that may help verify ownership.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I sincerely hope you can help me resolve this issue.
Kind regards,
Himanshu Raj
