First, I own the product in question. This is an older laptop that I bought from a friend to have as a spare, Great buy. 🙂
The only thing I can't find is how to set the laptop to reboot in the event of a power failure. I'm not sure if this is possible since there is a battery in the laptop but wanted to know if anyone has a solution.
I already checked the BIOS and there is no setting to restore to last state in the event of a power failure. I downloaded and updated the BIOS to the most current version and still no option to do that.
It's not critical but I can avoid a docking station if there's a way to do this.
Thanks.

Thanks. When I couldn't find it, and the BIOS upgrade didn't change anything, I assumed that was the case. Just wanted to try the experts to see if I was missing anything. 🙂
Thanks again for your help.

Hi @dvdrttr14,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I understand you're looking for information related to auto reboot in the event of power failure.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.
Unfortunately, many consumer laptops, including the HP Laptop 17-by4061nr, don't have a built-in BIOS option for automatic reboot after a power failure. This is more commonly found in servers or specialized hardware.
