HP Spectre x360 - 15-CH011DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey,

I am using HP Spectre x360 15-CH011DX and I am stuck with a black screen.

Battery was almost drained when the laptop went in sleep mode. After that when I tried to restart, the Caps lock is blinking 5.3 implying that the embedded controller timed out waiting for the BIOS.

I was looking for the possible fixes and I have already tried out a hard reset (holding the power button for 15 seconds) and also drained the battery.

I even tried to go for the BIOS update but holding Win+B isn't working. Escape/F10 buttons aren't working either on power up.

It's expected to be a motherboard problem. Contacted HP here in India but they said that this particular product isn't supported in India and they wouldn't be able to provide any assistance. And given the situation, I wouldn't be able to take it to the US to get it fixed.

If anybody can advise what could possibly cause this or has any other fixes which I can try. Maybe I can open it up myself or take this to a local repair shop.

Thank You
