Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Dear HP Support,

 

My product details are as follows:

  1. Product Name: HP G6 Pavilion Notebook
  2. Serial Number: [Private information removed]
  3. Product Number: B3H93PA#AB4
  4. OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am trying to Install a genuine Windows 10 from USB Flashdrive, but am not able to do so. Please advise in a step-by-step manner. Thank you.

@arafat_asghar Welcome to HP Community!

 

I understand that you are unable to install windows 10 operating systems.

 

This model is not tested for Windows 10 operating system. Please refer to the following link.

 

There are no proper drivers for Windows 10.

 

Please follow the below steps to identify and resolve this concern: 

Step 1: Perform a hard reset 

HP Notebook PCs - Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset 

Step 2: Restore BIOS default settings 

Step 3: Test the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI (In your case, Skip to Step 4) 

Step 4: Run a hardware test on the hard drive using the below links: 

If the test fails, it's a hardware failure and you will need to contact the HP phone support for a hardware service: Click here 
 

If it passed, order a new set of recovery media using the Official HP website.

Dear Praveen,

Thank you for your prompt response. I have been able to resolve the problem by updating the BIOS version of my Notebook. Windows 10 is up and running perfectly now.
