I cannot get the laptop to boot after installing W10. It came supplied with W7 and the upgrade dvds. It takes about 6 hours to factory reset the software, I get nearly there but it won't boot. BIOS legacy support is disabled. BIOS is version F13. All the help sections send me round and round to recovery manager which loads all the software again and then still won't boot. I did save a txt of the errors, rather large and all seems to say "passed" except this...
=== C:\SYSTEM.SAV\Util\TDC\MCPP\CompCert_rev002.VBS end ===============================================================
Found the risk certificates in Trusted Root Certificates.
RESULT=FAILED
I can post the whole thing if it helps.
No software had been loaded since the machine is brand new.
Any advice appreciated.

Hello,
tried all of that yesterday and none of it worked.
At restart and failed boot there is an option to save the error message, I looked through the places to save it in the dropdown list and could see that w10 had installed seemingly correctly. I tried hardware reset, I didn't want to take the back off and check the memory since it's a new machine and all the hardware tests were showing no issues. I did a bios flash just in case, no different. I knew it was a boot up issue.
I looked at the instructions for installing and it said to delete all drives except Drive 0, I had reinstalled on three attempts and this option never showed so I figured that some remnants of the old W7 installation were still on the drive and the new installation was not deleting them because I had no delete options.
I put in a W7 dvd, deleted all the drive partitions, all was wiped clean then I aborted the installation. I guess there are better ways to do this but if it didn't work I was going back to W7 just to get going!
Put in the W10 dvd, this time I was offered all the Drive options, which were not offered on previous attempts, and went on to install W10 and all in now working perfect.
Don't forget I could do this since it was a new machine and there were no files or settings to be transferred from one system to another.
On my particular system a totally clean drive was needed to get W10 to boot up properly.
Problem solved.

Hi,
I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I booted W7 only once and then started a recovery process to upgrade to W10. I also wasn't asked to delete any drives.
I'd like to do the same thing that @hayseed62 did, but I don't have any W7 DVDs (I didn't get any when I bought the notebook).
My notebook is currently unusable. What can I do?
