@Looc25, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The blinking power light on your HP laptop suggests the computer is in the Sleep state, a power-saving mode where the display and other unnecessary components are off. However, if the laptop is not turning on properly, there may be a few actions you can take to resolve the issue:

Check Power Source:

  • Ensure the AC adapter is connected properly to both the laptop and the power outlet.
  • Verify the outlet is working by connecting another device.

Battery Check:

  • If using the battery, check if it's charged or try removing and reinserting it.
  • Consider connecting the laptop directly to the power source without the battery to check the issue.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then attempt to turn on the laptop.

Check Peripheral Devices:

  • Disconnect any external devices (such as USBs or external monitors) that might interfere with the boot process.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
