I was receiving a low internal battery notification but my laptop was still working. Now it has completely stopped, I assumed it was the main external battery that was bad so I replaced it with a new one. Upon installing it and plugging the laptop back in the wall, no power light and it will not turn on. Is there a solution to this I can do myself? I know it is old but I have a lot of pictures and other important data still on here, please help if possible

Hi,
as @Riddle_Decipher is out of the office today, I'm replying to you. I have read your post comprehensively. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
It would be better if you could contact our HP phone support to explore the hardware repair options for the laptop. I suspect it is the motherboard but phone support will check and let you the best repair options available.
Alternately, you may locate the replacement parts for your laptop at the HP PartSurfer website.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. All the best! 🙂

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

As I Understand you've replaced the battery and yet the computer isn't powering on,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Did you check with an alternate wall outlet or another power adapter?
It's possible the computer isn't powering on as the battery isn't fully charged, did you try keeping the battery for charge overnight to check if it powers on?
Does it power on without the battery, with just the computer connected to the power adapter/wall outlet?
While you respond to that, you could attempt the steps mentioned on this link: Click here
Also, Here's a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped others: Click here for the steps.
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

Thank you for your reply, I have attempted everything you mentioned several times. At this point, I am assuming there is a damaged component within the board. Next question; how do I go about locating the replacement parts? I appreciate any further assistance you can give me.
