Please help me. I want to replace my Wi-Fi module with a more modern and powerful one. Does my laptop have a whitelist? If so, which modules can I buy from this list?

Hi:

 

Yes, your notebook has a BIOS whitelist and there are no supported Wi-Fi adapters for the model series that work on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band. 

 

A BIOS whitelist means that the only model Wi-Fi adapter you can use is the one that came with your notebook and it must have the HP part number on it or it will not work.

 

You can use a dual band USB wifi adapter.

 

They make some small ones nowadays.

 

I use this one for example:  Dual band AC + Bluetooth:
