I am constantly facing this issue of 100% disk usage although my system performs at it's best once in a while and mostly functions poorly. In this the most common thing is that whenever it runs slow task manager shows 100% disk usage and whenever it runs perfectly task manager shows 2% disk usage other than that everything works properly. I have tried everything like disabling Cortana, search, SysMain (Superfetch) but I don't see any difference. Please Help

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I recommend you run a test on the hard drive to make sure that the hard drive is working fine. Follow the steps in the below article to run a test on the hard drive.

If the test pass, then update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and check if it helps.
