I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the CPU of the laptop for a faster one?
In case it is possible, any suggestions?

You have this:
Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ (2.6 GHz, up to 3.5 GHz, 6 MB cache, 4 cores)
In that model the processor is soldered right on the motherboard. You could only upgrade by upgrading the motherboard but in your case you already have the highest and best. Something else must be wrong it your laptop is running slow.

Thank you for the information.
The computer is not running slow (yet) but it does take some time to run some simulations. That is why I was wondering if a CPU with more cores would be an option for this laptop.
