Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

My laptop runs with an AMD Ryzen™ 3 2200U (2.5 GHz base frequency, up to 3.4 GHz burst frequency, 1 MB cache, 2 cores) processor. It's not THAT fast, and I was thinking of replacing it with something faster...

1. How do I know which processors are compatible with my laptop? (My motherboard is HP 84AF (according to CPU-Z))

2. Which processors would you recommend for faster perfomances?

Os: Windows 10 (64-bit)

RAM: 8GB

Disk Drive: 250GB SSD (replaced the original 1TB HDD)

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

It is not possible to upgrade the CPU in modern notebooks as it is integrated on the motherboard (soldered to motherboard).

You would need to replace the whole motherboard which could cost the same as buying a new PC.

On page 71 of service manual you can see the compatible motherboards and part number

Hope it helps,

David
