Hello!

 

Due to a series of unfortunate events I am in rather dire need of a charger for my computer! Is this an appropriate place to ask for advice on where to purchase a new one?  I don't know if I could find one in my area easily and online shopping for a charger is...intimidating to say the least. I didn't see what I need in Hp's site shop (really don't care for a usb charger) so I thought asking the forum would be the next step?   I just need something compatible that charges my computer!

Thanks for becoming a member of the HP Support Forums. I understand you are looking for a replacement power adapter. I will be glad to help you.

 

You can go to HP Part surfer.

Select the country on the right

in the quick search enter the part number "741727-001" for the  Smart AC power adapter (45 watts) - 4.5mm barrel connector, non-power factor correcting (NPFC) - Requires 3-wire AC power cord with a C5 connector.

It will show you of available from Hp in your area.

 

Please keep me informed of how things went.
