I recently bought a 15-fd00083wm laptop. I didn't pay attention when purchasing that it only had 128 gb of hard drive space, and it can't be upgraded. So do I have any options? Is there a motherboard upgrade I can purchase that would support an SSD m2, or if nothing else some more capacity. Thanks

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that.
All of the motherboard support M.2 NVMe SSDs except those listed with the 128 GB UFS drives.
Unless you replace the motherboard with the same one for an N200 processor that comes with a SSD, you would be looking at buying additional parts such as heat sinks and whatnot.
HP doesn't sell the N200 board with the SSD and comes with the embedded Windows product key-- which seems to be part # N36770-601.
I can't find one on eBay either.
See if you can trade in the notebook for one you will be happy with.

Unfortunately, the 128 GB UFS storage is not upgradable.
It will probably be cheaper to buy a new notebook that comes with a NVMe SSD than to replace the motherboard in yours.
Here is the link to the service manual which has the list of supported motherboards in chapter 3.
