HP15t-fd000 won’t turn on. Windows 11 OS. Battery is fully charged but not easily removable. I have held down the power button for 15+sec and used F6+per button to no avail. Laptop is less than6 months old.

Hi @Smeesh33,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Since your HP 15t-fd000 laptop (Windows 11, under 6 months old) won’t turn on despite a fully charged battery and hard reset attempts, here’s a complete guide to troubleshoot and recover it:

Step-by-Step Fix for HP Laptop Not Powering On

1. Perform a Full Hard Reset

Even if you've tried this, please follow these exact steps:

  • Disconnect the AC adapter and all peripherals (USB, HDMI, etc.).
  • Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
  • Reconnect only the AC adapter (use the original one).
  • Press the power button again.

2. Check for Signs of Life

  • Does the power LED blink or stay solid?
  • Do you hear fan noise, or see keyboard backlight or screen flicker?

If none of these happen, it may be a power delivery issue or a motherboard fault.

3. Try a BIOS Recovery

  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds.
  • Release all keys and wait.
  • If successful, the BIOS recovery screen should appear.

4. Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (if it powers on briefly)

  • Press Esc repeatedly at startup, then F2 to enter diagnostics.
  • Run System Tests > Fast Test and Component Tests > Battery, Memory, and Storage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
