A 1 TB NVME SSD would work just fine in in place of the 512 GB NVMe SSD it comes with.

But initially it was having 1 tb HDD...no SSD.....now will it be compatible with 1 tb Nvme M2 SSD

Sorry, I must have found the specs on a different model.

Still, since your notebook has an Intel i5-1135G7 processor, it has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's.

1 TB would be fine.  The Crucial SSD report indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB for your notebook.

HP only has the service manual for the original 15s-du0xxx model series available, but even in that older model series the notebooks that had Intel core processors supported NVMe SSD's.
