I first tried to use “Linux lite” live cd and it did not show the internal ssd drive at all, but was able to install dislocker without issue. Then I noticed you mentioned Ubuntu 22.04, so I downloaded that one and it shows the ssd via the fdisk cmd, but dislocker is not available via apt-get.  I downloaded the Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS(Jammy Jellyfish) desktop image.  After adding repository universe , I was able to install dislocker.  My laptop shows device /dev/nvme0n1 with partition of /dev/nvme0n1p1.  I am using the recovery key to decrypt so I am using -p instead of -u. If I use device /dev/nvme0n1p1 is says ‘no such file or directory’. If I use /dev/nvme0n1 , it aborts with ‘the signature of the volume doesn’t match the bitlocker ones… cannot parse volume header. Abort’.

using gparted, the partition is listed as  /dev/nvme0n1 (953.87GiB) and /dev/nvme1n1 (27.25GiB). Both as file system ataraid.

Any suggestions?

Hello @JamesB-Hou

Either the volume is partially damaged or there is some other undefined error, I can't tell you from a distance.

Create an issue on the Github project page of the author, if necessary you can be helped quickly.

Kind regards

I tried to boot the computer using the HP cloud recovery usb and it gets a blue screen with DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG. I ran the system diagnostics - System Fast tests without issues.

If I just use the windows install media on usb, it will boot ok into installer.

Any idea what is going on?

I have run both fast test and extensive test diagnostic from F2 diags with no errors and am still getting blue screen boot issues with main partition0xc00001, recovery partition (DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG), and the Hp cloud recovery image.  I am also not able to mount the ssd volume from Ubuntu Linux to get my files off the internal drive.

The ssd is my machine is “1 TB Intel® SSD + 32 GB Intel® Optane™ memory”.

Any new ideas what is going on?
