Hello, I bought not long ago a laptop 15-fb0142nf. There are 2 slots normally (I couldn't open the computer to check) I would like to add a 1 tb SSD but I don't know what SSD format I should buy. Can you guide me please? Thank you in advance for writing with understandable English because I have trouble with the language.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that.
I just reinstall my programs and files on new drives.
In short what you would have to do would be to buy a USB3/USB-C to NVMe M.2 SSD enclosure...something like this.
You insert your new SSD in the enclosure, and you use cloning software to clone the existing drive's contents to the new drive.
You have to use cloning software that will allow you to clone a smaller capacity drive to a larger one.
If you do not, you will only clone the 500 GB to a larger drive and have a huge amount of unallocated space.
Then you replace the drive, and you should be all set.
It's too complicated for me to explain in a post.
You can do an internet search for the specifics.

Hi:
Your notebook only has one M.2 slot for a SSD (which is occupied by the 512 GB NVMe SSD it comes with.
Below is the link to the service manual.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
The illustration in chapter 5 on page 33 shows the location of the single M.2 SSD.
If you want more storage, you will need to replace the 512 GB NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.
Chapter 1 of the manual indicates that HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in the model series, but there should be no reason why you couldn't install a 2 TB or greater capacity NVMe SSD if you wanted to.
