I have a 2013 end model HP Envy 4 Ultrabook which comes with an arrangement of 500GB Harddrive and 32GB Samsung SSD which is used for Caching (Intel Smart Response or Intel Rapid Storage tech). The ultrabook originally came with Windows 8 which I upgraded to Windows 10 Home. But, the problem is, the SSD shows in diskmanagement as 4GB while it displays 32GB in HP recovery menu. In Debian Linux Live cd boot, it showed that there is a 32GB SSD with a 4GB partition formatted as "Intel Fast Flash".
My question is how do I make the SSD work? I understand that the SSD drive is possibly corrupted now.

If the caching is working the part of the drive being used for caching will disappear in diskmanagement because it is fused with the main hard drive in a special kind of RAID array. I suggest you go to the Windows 10 search and try to find the Intel Rapid Storage app and see what it is showing and if acceleration is enabled.
This might help a bit:

I checked control panel to see if the drivers are installed and found none (Intel Rapid Storage or Intel Smart Response). I would like to get these drivers for Windows 10. The product link shows the Windows 8.1 drivers only.

Try this:

Use Cortana or Windows search in the lower left corner and look for Intel Rapid Storage. It is a driver, but it is also an app you need to open to check configuration.

Hi,
Thanks for the support. I already downloaded and installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver version: 14.8.14.1063 from Intel Download centre. On reboot, I checked the app and it's enabled in "maximise" mode which I changed to "enhanced mode". Honestly, I don't know which one is good or default config for this ultrabook. 4GB partition is used. Can I increase it to 8GB and remaining in RAID 0 mode?

Does it show that acceleration is enabled? Sounds like it is...the maximize mode uses the whole accelerator disk and the enhanced will not quite use all of it hence you have 4 gigs left over. I have experimented with this app a lot in Windows 7-10 and the enhanced/max setting does not seem to make a difference as long as acceleration is enabled.
