Want to know if My Elitebook 850 G1 will accept a PCIe NVLM Drive such as a Samsung 970. Current BIOS release date is 09/03/2014, current System BIOS Version is L71 Ver 01.21.
Any help is is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

The Maintenance and Service Guide indicates (page 3) machines of the series support M.2 SATA 3 (or III) that means M.2 NVMe SSD's won't work.
