HP Envy 15 ep0098nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently bought a 90 watt HP travel adapter and tried plugging it into my envy, however i got an error message saying "low power source detected, your computer will run on battery power and will not charge. Use of the original HP power source is recommended". Although i tried a 150 watt HP charger before and i didn't have these issues. so is the wattage just too low and should i return it? The laptop's battery seems to be draining slower than if it were entirely unplugged, but im unsure if this will damage my laptop.

The specs of your machine is

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06656942

It uses  200 W Smart AC power adapter.

The laws of Physics is anything under 200W would not work. 90W is out of question. 150W may work but it won't have enough power to charge your machine and run your machine SAME time therefore battery would slowly draining

Regards.
