Out of the 3 USB ports on this laptop model 15-024nr. Only 1 still works. The wireless plug and play mouse only works in the 1 port. I have tried other plug and play devices and the same thing. Only the 1 USB port works. Do I need to replace the motherboard?

Hi:
It seems to me that you have to install the W7 USB 3 driver since HP does not support that model for W7.
Download the AMD chipset drivers from the link below and restart the PC.
Scroll down the page, select the W7 32 bit AMD chipset driver file.

I forgot to add the fact that when I 1st got the laptop. All 3 USB ports were working with Win 7 Home 32bit already installed. A few days ago I started up the laptop, by the way this 2nd laptop I use to look at game maps when I play the game on the Dell laptop and to look at instruction files when I am working on something on the Dell, and there was some kind of a flash on the screen and the laptop crashed. I had to wipe the HD and reinstall Win and everything else. That's when the other 2 USB ports stopped working.
