I bought a new HP spectre x360 convertible 13-ae0xx two years ago. The original (type c) charger has broken down. I bought a new not original  one and it worked well until  2 months ago when I started to need to plug the charger in a specific angle in order to chare it.

Is the problem of the laptop itself or of the charger?

Does the problem derive from the fact that the charger is not original?

What should I do to fix it?

Thannks!

Its likely the port has been damaged which is not a good thing. This is the USB-C charging port, right? Can it work OK with other USB-C devices if you have any of those?

Thanks for your reply. It is a USB C port. I don't have any other USB C products but I shall find one. What should I do if the USB C port is damaged?

Thanks.

That can generally only be fixed with a new motherboard I am sorry to say. A USB-C thumb drive would be a good thing to try.

This happened to me too with the original HP charger. Things have only gone downhill since then...
