Example: Pavilion G6 2005 AX

I have a laptop HP Pavilion G6 2005 AX, the problem is that, my laptop was off for 3 days, while i was out of town, when i came back, and i am trying to turn it on,it doesn't turn on, I tried to plug AC adapter, it started booting, but after few second, it went off, i left it charge whole day, but battery didn't full charge, although battery charging indicator is glowing, then again i tried to turn it on, but same thing happend, then i thought it might be battery issue, because battery is old, so i removed the battery, and again connected the AC adapter, but now the indicator is not glowing, and the laptop doesn't turn on at all, so i measured the voltage of AC adapter with digital multimeter, it is giving aroud 19 volt DC output, so what may be problem?

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. I understand that HP Pavilion g6-2005ax Notebook PC and it does not power on anymore. I have read your post comprehensively. You've done a remarkable job performing the steps.

The evidence indicates that the AC adapter is working fine. I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
  • Power ON the laptop.

If the laptop does not power on then try to power on the laptop using only the battery. And then try to power it on again using only the ac adapter.

If the issue persists then it could be an internal hardware failure with the motherboard and I suggest you HP guide and verify that these steps have been checked.
to contact our HP phone support to explore the hardware service options. However, you may refer to the no power steps from this

Hope this information helps. Feel free to let me know how this goes. Good luck! 🙂

Thanks for the reply, it took you guys long time to reply, i was hopeless, in meantime i torn the battery, took all 6 18650 cell out of it, cut all the joint, which was connected in series connection, i measured the voltage separately of all cell, and i got around 3.5V for each cell, then i connected all of them in parallel connection and charged it through a DC to DC buck converter at 4.2VDC, these batteries took almost 15hrs to reach on 4.2VDC, then i again re assembled the battery pack, the way it, was before cutting all the connection, and now my laptop is working fine on battery. I think the battery was in DDM.
